Neymar Jr will miss Super Cup clash with Sevilla after Barcelona star gets MUMPS

The Brazilian star will lie low for a few days as he recovers, and it means he will not get to play either against Sevilla or Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup. Pedro is set to take his place

The season has not started well for Neymar Jr. The Brazilian will be out for 15 days with mumps and will miss the European Super Cup against Sevilla and the Spanish Super Cup clashes with Athletic Club.

Luis Enrique has not included the Brazilian star in the squad for the trip to Georgia, Tbilisi, on Monday, for the game on August 11.

The Asturian coach has brought with him every other squad member. Neymar's injury is a blow, especially given the high level he and the other two members of the famous trident performed at in the Joan Gamper trophy.

Pedro will now have the opportunity to play and start perhaps his final ever Barcelona game, ahead of a move to Manchester United.

Ter Stegen will be in goal, with the defence of Alves, Pique, Mascherano and Mathieu, midfield of Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta and now Pedro with Messi and Suarez in attack.
